Tragedy in Maryland
We have received news that Anthony Castillo, 6 years old, one of the three children killed in a Maryland hotel, was a playmate of Cameron Adams, Coral Plumley's grandson. Coral has requested special prayers for Amy Castillo. The chilidren's father, who reported his brutal acts to the hotel front desk, may have killed his three children in an act of vengeance against his wife, Amy, in their child custody battle. Please pray also for Carmina as she counsels Amy and deals with telling Coral's grandchildren about the deaths of the three Castillo children. Pray for all concerned connected to this horrible tragedy. (March 31, 2008)

Paul Adams (Coral's son-in-law)

During Paul's ministry in Florida his life has been directly threatened. Pray for God to place a hedge of protection around him. "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:10 (NKJV)

Also pray that Carmina and the children will be at peace in this matter.

(March 21, 2008)

Vicki Fahringer

Praise God for Vicki's successful and uneventful surgery. During the planned surgery they found and removed an adhesion that may be responsible for the pain she has had recently. Things went very well and she was on her way home within 24 hours. Dave and Alex are planning to take great care of her.

They have requested no visitors until they let us know.

Please keep him in you prayers.

Naomi Plumley Update 1/28/08

The ENT's office called this morning with the results from Naomi's CT scan.  Everything came back normal.  What this means is that her inner ear has no abnormalities (everything is formed properly) and she does not have a degenerative hearing loss.

Praise God!!!!!
Karen, Deno, & Naomi

Naomi Plumley

Naomi continues to improve but is still a focus for our prayers. She will have a CT scan at CHKD on Tuesday, January 22nd. We need to pray that they will find the inner ear is properly formed and there is no sign of degenerative hearing loss. Specifically pray for her comfort as the process can be painful for her. Pray also for Karen and Deno to have God's support during this ongoing difficult situation.

Naomi will also have a hearing test in Richmond Thursday, January 24th. Pray for great test results and give God thanks for progress thus far.

Allison Smelley (Karen's cousin)
Praise God for good news from California as Allison recovers from cancer surgery. There is no indication of cancer in her body and she is healed well and is in physical therapy. She has declined chemotherapy and has begun a five year program of hormone therapy. Her prognosis is very good and the future is positiveThank God and continue your prayers!

Jerry Kegelman

Jerry fell off the roof of a 3 story house suffering a severe brain trauma. Below is an excerpt from last night’s journal entry for Jerry Kegelman written by his wife. It includes her request for prayer. By her description, he is making progress but recovery from brain trauma is slow.

"…I just want to give everyone a fair picture. He has a very long way to go.
God has supported us, in fact cradled us, during this time and again I am calling on Him to guide me in choosing the right place for Jerry’s next step. When you say your prayers for Jerry next, if you would put in a word for that, I would be so appreciative. I will have to start looking in the thesaurus for new words to describe our feelings of comfort and security when we read your notes and experience all your acts of kindness. Thank you. Good night."

This request received from Jeff Gragg. 1-04-08
